Box 1111 North Wilkesboro, NC 28656 1-800-445-6937 1-800-890-5932 Dec 22, 2004 Dear Elizabeth Garcia: Back on March 6, 2003 I thought I worked as a contract employee at Lowe’s in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina for three days. I worked as a computer programmer or a software engineer and I was told I was going to write computer programs in C on your Unix computers to allow your accounting systems to convert from a 6 digit PO number to a 9 digit PO numbers. I was sent to Lowe’s by Satyajit Mishra of Mercury Data Systems, Inc. after doing a number of phone interviews, taking a computer test on my programming skills and taking a drug test in Tempe Arizona Lowe’s said they wanted me to work for them in North Carolina. After I flew to North Carolina from Phoenix I was introduced to you at Lowe’s by Bob Smith of Mercury Data Systems, Inc. And you then took me out to the area which I worked at Lowe’s for three days. I think it was called the “bull pen” and it was a large room filled with computer programmers. None of the computer programmers were employees of Lowe’s but were all contractors. When I worked at Lowe’s a fellow computer geek named Chip directed my activities. He worked for a third computer contracting company. He was a nice guy and I got along with him rather well. On my third day at Lowe’s Chip, me, and some of the computer programmers from India had a lunch party where we all brought in hot spicy food for lunch. I cooked us some papads one of the Indians brought in. Papads are hot spicy Indian crackers laced with spices which you normally cover with a hot spicy mint chutney or hot pickles called achars. Chip brought in some Thai food which he cooked up which was pretty tasty. On my third day at Lowe’s I was terminated not because I did anything wrong, or because my computer skills were bad but because I didn’t have a drivers license. I am a civil rights activist and refuse to get a drivers license or an “internal passport” as I call it. If you trace court cases from the early 1900’s on you will see that I am right in that court cases over and over have said that state governments can’t require you to have a drivers license if you only drive for “personal use” and don’t drive for business activities. If it is Lowe’s policy to only allow people to program your computers who have “internal passports” that is ok with me and I don’t want to work for you. Although it would have been much better if you told me before I flew to North Carolina that you required people to have a “internal passport” before allowing them to work for your company. In that case I would not have wasted my time flying to North Carolina. But we have two problems still to solve. The first is I have not been paid for the 24 hours I worked at Lowe’s. Satyajit Mishra was pretty honest with me and told me what his company was going to cheat me out of my wages since I only worked at Lowe’s for three days. That has come true and the people at Mercury have not paid me nor do they answer my mail about the money they owe me for working at Lowe’s. Perhaps you can see if you can get someone to pay me for the work I did at Lowe’s The second problem is since I have left Lowe’s someone who appears to hate me and who either works at Lowe’s or Mercury had been sending me computer viruses and hate mail by e-mail often several times a day wasting my time and clogging up my mail box. I have complained about the computer viruses at least six or seven times to the web masters at both Lowe’s and at Mercury and the hate mail has not stopped. After maybe the six times I complained who ever hates me at Lowe’s or Mercury stopped sending me viruses on a daily basis and now just sends me hate mail instead on a daily basis. I am very thankful for that because each hate mail message only takes about 3K of storage compared with 40K for the viruses they were sending. Would it be possible for you to see if you can get the Lowe’s or Mercury employee to stop sending me these daily hate mail messages? If Lowe’s and Mercury had just cheated me out of my wages I probably would have not complained just dropped the whole thing. But since someone on at either Lowe’s or Mercury has been filling my mail box with hate mail and computer viruses on an almost daily basis I am pretty angry and if you can’t get some one to pay me, and get who ever is sending me the hate mail and computer viruses to stop it I will file a law suit in the Federal Court in Tucson to get the wages I am owed for working at Lowe’s, Mercury, or for who ever I worked for in North Carolina, and to get Lowe’s, Mercury, or whoever is sending me hate mail and computer viruses via e-mail to this childish activity of bothering me. I could file a lawsuit in the state court in North Carolina but first I don’t know anything about filing lawsuits in state courts, and second I don’t want to waste my time coming back to North Carolina. I think the Federal Court will accept the lawsuit because Lowe’s and Mercury used the internet, the telephone systems, the U.S. Mail to recruit me all of which span the USA. And because I took my drug test in Arizona which was set up by a company in North Carolina. And last because the computer viruses and hate mail being sent to me over the internet. I don’t think you’re a computer geek but once you get a court order the computer viruses and hate mail should be the easy part to trace down and prove who is doing it and where they are coming from. This is because of the log files. Who ever is doing it is probably doing it from their office or home since the viruses and hate mail are being sent on a daily basis. Almost all systems keep log files showing all the http activity and looking at these log files will allow you to find the guilty parties. It is a two step process though. Log files are also maintained for all e-mails sent. The first step is looking at all the log files of the hate mail and viruses sent to me. This will tell the computer the email originated from. The next step is then tracing the log files to find out who sent the emails back to their home or office. Thanks
